William Marion Pennington, 83, died 1/27/2022. He was born March 1, 1938 in Bearden, AR to Jesse Ray and Florence Clemons Pennington. In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jean Pennington and four sisters, Brenda Taylor of Camden, AR, Patsy Heigelman of Camden, AR, Marcy Earnest of Hampton, AR and Chris Emerson of Bearden, AR.
He is survived by two sons, Jeff Pennington (Nicki) and Greg Pennington; a daughter, Wanda Williams (Tommy), all of Bearden, AR; a sister, Lanell Williams of Bearden, AR; five grandchildren, Guy Williams of Bearden, AR, Jay Williams of Tinsman, AR, Kayla Franks of Ouachita, AR, Holly Pennington of Bearden, AR Laney Pennington of Bearden, AR and six great-grandchildren.
Marion will be remembered for his love of camping and was an avid fan who loved to cheer for the Bearden Bears.
Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Salem Cemetery near Bearden with Robbie McAdoo officiating.
