William H. "Bill" Petry II

Condolences to the Petry family. Heaven has an incredible choir of peace and justice people now. Our hearts must feel the sadness of loss, but what a joy to know they are in Loving Hands.
My Mother, Georgeen, spoke very highly of Bill's work and talent with the MPT. They are at a new table.

We were so sorry to hear of Bill's bicycle accident. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting him when he started his bike ride from Astoria, OR to Lansing. His enthusiasm was contagious and though we bid him farewell on that venture, we wished he'd stay so we could visit more. Charming, compassionate and highly intelligent. Petry family - I grieve with you over this great loss! I worked with Mr. Petry at LCC (as an SI leader for Math 121) and thoroughly enjoyed my time with him. While I was in Lansing for July 4, I saw him walking around the Westide neighborhood and had a good time catching up with him. He will be greatly missed!

All the good that Bill has done will most certainly live after him. There can be no greater monument.

Julia, it was a great shock to hear about Bill's accident and sudden death. May his deeds and memories comfort you in the days to come.

Bill Petry will rise up more unencumbered than the rest of us, by the good he did in this world. His spirit rises and we must look up to match the good he did in this world.
