Not sure what to say?

Marge, Steve Kathy,
My Kris just told me about Bill. Such good memories of the lake and old times. It somehow seems like yesterday. Holding on to memories is what it is all about. You are in my thoughts.

I remember the Pettingill family from the lake and Bill, through my father's business and other associations. Bill was as wonderful to a little girl as he was to his peers.

Marge, Kathy and Steve and family, Mr. P was such a great man and contributed so much to St. Clair County, it was an honor to know him. My heart goes out to you. Love Missy

Marj, you have our deepest sympathies. It was so good to see both of you at Mom's funeral in 2007. Bill lead a long, good life and contributed so much to Port Huron and to St. Clair County. He will be missed.
Ed Schmidt

Aunt Marj,
So sorry to hear of Uncle Bill's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sorry I was unable to attend the services as I am out of the state right now. I know all his brothers will be be there to greet him at the pearly gates of heaven. My deepest sympathies to you and yours,
Jolene (Pettengill) Furman- Jack's daughter.

Dear Marge,Kathy,Steve and families, Carl and I send our deepest sympathies to you all. Your husband and father was a very special and kind man to my mother-Evelyn Wellman- and me. I remember one sheriff's picnic at the Wurzel farm when your dad held me on his lap--that meant so much to me! You all will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Carl and Sharie[Wellman] Schoenberg

I am giving my condolences to the Sheriff's family. My family knew him when he was in that capacity. I and my brothers went to school with his sons. I have always remembered this good man along with Sheriff Ferris E. Lucas and Dick Holdberg ,Detective. God will take care of him and his survivors.

My mother knew you from when ya'll was young. She pasted away 2 years ago(Madelyn Barnhart). She always talked about you.

To Bill's family,
It was indeed a distinct pleasure to have known Bill and his larger than life presence. He was always quick with a hardy handshake and greeting. I will miss him much. Sorry I cannot be there to extend my condolences in person. May the God extend his Spirit of comfort during this time.
