Not sure what to say?

For 36+ years the Philbin family has been our only next-door neighbors. It was always a comfort and pleasure to know Phil was there, and to share things back and forth over the wall. I can't say how much I honored and respected Phil, not only for his service to the country, but also for the kind of man he was. As a neighbor and friend, I will never forget him.

Although I hadn't seen Phil in many years, I have many fond memories of him & Nona growing up. They were wonderful people. My deepest sympathy to all of the family. God Bless all of you. Rest in Peace Phil.

In the small world category.....
I didn't know Bill, but my name is also William Philbin and I was also a United States Marine. A chance search on Google today brought up his Guest Book. Allow me first to express my condolences to the family of a fellow Marine and fellow Philbin. I would be interested in knowing more about him and his service if you ever have the time. May God be with you all in this difficult time.
Semper Fi,
Major Bill Philbin, USMC Ret....

Billy Philbin was my mother's cousin and spent much time with the Conn's in Pasadena while growing up. I remember his family visiting mine in Scottsdale Arizona during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Even though I was not familiar with the concept I now believe he must have been an outstanding Marine. Semper Fi, Col. David Brown USMC (Ret)

Cap was one of the "Breakfast Club" that I met at the VFW. Many hours were spent talking about life and family. Cap was the best of humanity and his kids are a result of that. I cant thank you all enough for sharing your Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa with me.. My life will forever be better for knowing him...

Colleen.....I was lucky enough to have met and worked with your father while at SDSU and he stood out as one of the good guys.
Such a small world to have met you through Karen in later years and discover he was your Dad. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
