William G. Phipps

Billy was a very good friend and an excellent Civil Engineer. I worked with him, hunted and fished with him for many years. I loved him like a brother. It was a great blessing to know him. I pray that his wonderful family will be blessed throughout the future.

I loved Mr. Billy’s smile and his calming, happy spirit. I truly enjoyed spending time with him and all of the “Herald Gang” at Mt Hebron. Sending Up prayers and love for all of the family.

Billy and I worked for many years in the bridge design office and he was a good friend. He will be missed by many old bridge pals. I enjoyed knowing and working along side such a good man.

Mary Lynn, My heart breaks for you and the children for I know Billy and you were made for each other. I always admired your devotion to each other and family. My love and prayers to you in the coming days.

I was totally surprised to hear about Bill's passing. I use to work with Bill in the old SCDOT Bridge Design Section. I enjoyed visiting him in his squad when I was in the office. I remember that he used to get a lot of the more complex bridge projects because he was such a good structural design engineer. My condolences to his family.
