Not sure what to say?

Billy was my cousin. I met him, his parents and his brother, Fred, when I went to live with my grandparents in Hicksville in 1963. I visited the Pickering home in Glen Cove a couple of times and they came to visit my grandparents in Hicksville. It's been many years, but I enjoyed the times (1963 to 1965) when we came together and I played with the boys. I am sorry to hear that Billy passed away years before his time. Peace.

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS I KNEW BILLY WAY BACK WHEN IT'S BEEN YEARS SINCE I LEFT GLEN COVE BUT BILLY WAS ONE OF THE NICEST PEOPLE YOU WILL KNOW MY MEMORY OF HIM IS WITH HIS CAMERA WITH HIM MUCH OF THE TIME WHEN EVER HE CAME INTO 711,THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

We saw each other infrequently over the years, but, I was fortunate enough to see you and spend time talking to you this past May, at your Mom's. You were cleaning the pollen off your Corvette, all the while telling me about your battle with this disease. You were so positive, I prayed you would beat this. I will treasure that day and feel truly blessed. That time was a gift.

I'll always remember sitting on Jeanne and Pete's front step, drinking a few beers and solving the problems of the auto industry. Sorrow doesn't explain the world's loss....

Wanted to say what a great wonderful man Billy was, He new me when I born until this day. Thanks Billy for everything say hi to Grandpa & Grandma. I'll miss you.,

I was shocked when I learned of the passing of my dear friend, Billy. He was always a bright spot in my life. Catherine, thank you for giving him your love. He adored you and your children. Knowing Billy for his 50 years, he'll be missed deeply..Go with God, Billy. Say hi to Mom and Dad...

A man who so loved and lived for the UAW and the people in it, he would call everyone 'Brother'. Sad and shocking news. Seems like yesterday Bill and I stood around talking about the bands at Feb's and what the 'suits' needed to do in the ivory towers to turn the American automobile back to its former glory.God help anyone in heaven who doesnt believe in the CBA! Take care BIll-give em hell!

my eternal love to you Billy

I was shocked to hear of Billy's passing. Our condolences to his family. I was just thinking of him last night and remembering all the good times we all had while working at Suburban Pointiac, way before he even thought of running the union. I was even thinking of how we could get in touch with him, since we have moved from Glen Cove. God Bless.
