Happy Birthday Uncle Bill and Happy Flag Day!!!! We love you, Ruthie

Bill has been my friend for many years. We all will miss him at our 70th Division reunions.

On behalf of his friends in the 70th Infantry Division Association, please accept our deepest condolences on Bill's passing. He was a dedicated soldier and will be recognized at our national reunion in October. He could always make you smile and his friendly disposition will certainly be missed. Our prayers for Bill's family.

It is Memorial Day, I always remembered Uncle Bill and contacted him this time of year. I miss you Uncle Bill, Rest in Peace Soldier. Thank you for all you did for our country and our Family.

I will always remember Bill, his sisters Maxine and Betty and the Bill Freeman family. Many great memories. I also had the pleasure of driving Bill to the airport once. He took a picture of me and I still have it.

One time when I was driving Uncle Bill to Metro for one of his many trips, I got so engrossed in his story that I totally drove past the exit for the airport! He was one of a kind...probably the proudest soldier I've ever met in my life. We all loved him very much, and we'll certainly miss him. I'm just so grateful that he had such a fitting military send-off at Ft. Custer.

To Bill Pierce a very good friend from Germany, Marta and I will miss you very much. Blessing from Heidelberg Germany

He was my mothers next door neighbor at The Pines. I always enjoyed talking to him when he was out and I was visiting my mother, she also enjoyed his stories of being in the army. She enjoyed hearing them as my father had also fought in W.W. II. Bill always had a friendly " Hi how are you" to everyone, he will be missed.
