Read MoreMr. Pollak was an important influence in my life, as a teacher, as my Freshman football coach, and as someone who cared about students, about Johnstown and about important issues. I visited him several times at the JHS Museum and enjoyed seeing his enthusiasm and passion for the school district and the collection of memorabilia he amassed. It's an amazing legacy he has left behind. Thank you!

Panda would sit in the front of his classroom, reading a newspaper encouraging each of us as we entered class , by saying, " read something, expand your mind." We loved him so much as a teacher and a friend. Sincere condolences. Jim Wilmot JHS 64- 68. First class to go all 4 years at the 'news high school. We all were so blessed to have him in our lives.
