I had wonderful years of teaching with Bill at Oak Grove. We spent numerous hours enjoying the outdoors together. I am so glad I was able to visit with Bill this last summer when Gary Kuykendall and I went to his home. I will surely miss his personal Christmas message.

Uncle Bill, you will ALWAYS be in my heart. Thank you for giving me so many special memories of hiking, camping and fishing at East Lake and swimming in your backyard in the huge "red bowl". I love the play house you built and I have always wanted one ever since the days us "Haldeman" girls used to play in yours. You have been a part of my life from birth until the birth of my son. Your kids were your life and I'm blessed to have been one of them. Oh, and thank you for the Freshen Up...

Mr. Poole was my 7th grade teacher at Oak Grove and he was awesome. He was rough around the edges with the most kindest heart ever. He taught me so much and the care he showed students is something I will take with me forever. May his memory always bring a smile to your hearts

I first knew Bill as Mr Poole in 7th grade science class at Oak Grove Elementary. He had so much enthusiasm for life and learning. He was definitely my favorite teacher that year. When I think of Bill, I see the radiant smile that was always on his face. He was one of the warmest caring people I have ever known. Our loss is heavens gain. May God bless all the family as they deal with the loss of this dear man.
