As a friend and fraternity brother of Doug's, I am saddened to hear of the death of Mr. Popa. Our thoughts are with you.

I was Mr. Popa's primary nurse when he started on dialysis and continued to care for him for about a year after that. He had a great sense of humor and was well-liked by the dialysis staff. He kept Dr. Redington on his toes. He will be missed!

I was truly saddened hearing about the death of Mr. Popa. As a good friend of his son, Doug, growing up I had many fond memories of Mr. Popa. We were always welcomed in his home, and he always had a way to make us laugh. He always seemed to be there for his children, and as a youth I noticed and admired that. Sadly, after Doug's tragic death I did not keep in contact with the family. Fortunately, through my son's Boy Scout Troop, I have had the privilege to meet and befriend Mr. Popa's other...
