My deepest condolences to Dory's family. I worked with Dory for many years at the USGS and found Dory very intellectual, a little reserved, and always friendly and helpful. He was interested in exploring beyond what his usual job entailed, to help provide insights into other environmental and hydraulic processes. I know his had an interest in boat building, I hope he had the opportunity to build one.
