My heartfelt sympathy to Lynne and family. I will always remember special times with Bill in years past. His energy and enthusiasm for Hamilton and Festival of Friends has been remembered often over the years. I served as an Alderman in Hamilton from 1980-88 and first met Bill thru his father Mayor Bill and mother Rose when we were the new faces on council in 1980. My life has been enriched having known Bill and the Powell family. God's Blessing and Peace to the family.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of such a wonderfully funny and talented gentleman, who contributed so greatly to Hamilton. I will always remember him fondly, cherish the memories and the painting he did for me.

We worked with Bill and Cathy years ago in education in Hamilton. Bill was well known and will be greatly missed.
