Thanksgiving season will always bring the fondest of memories of dinner with the Powers: the warmth as one entered the McVicker's address from both the people and the food prep; the football games on TV and the football games across the street; the pies in the kitchen; the penny ante poker games (where I recall adults making sure kids left with some coins!).
