Prance, William (Bill) Howard II, of Burton, MI, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, in the care of hospice surrounded by friends. Bill was born on November 14, 1953, to William and Annette Prance at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint, MI. He was a GM retiree after 33 years of service. He was a storyteller and loved recalling times passed, of vacations he took and people he knew and loved. He spent time on Beaver Island where he proudly owned property. He was an avid bowler back in the day, a Nascar enthusiast, a sports nut, a CNN watcher, and a staunch Democrat. He had a heart so big that eventually the coldness of the world left him to push others away. He experienced so much physical pain that he no longer participated in the daily activities of life. He relied upon his dear friend, Steve Jennings, to be the bridge to the outside world. Bill was full of love if you could just crack open that tough outer shell.
He was preceded in death by his father, William; mother, Annette; and dear sister Carla. He is survived by loving nephew Russ Cook, niece Traci Cook, and brother-in-law Bob Cook. He will be surely missed and remembered every day by Steve and Heather Jennings, Mackenzie McNulty, Kristen Jennings, Brody McNulty, and Cole Jennings; all of whom considered him family.
Thank you to the staff of Hurley Hospital and the Medical Team; all of whom provided tender loving care to the "grouchy" old man we loved.
