Dear Elaine, Peggy and Molly,

My heart goes out to you in sympathy at this time.

I always thought you were lucky gals to have such a handsome, intelligent good man love each of you as he did.

It was my good fortune to spend time with you all in those idyllic days on the Brazos in the eighties (as a friend of Peggy's and the Baird family).

My injured leg will prevent my travelling to Santa Fe for the memorial service, but I hope...
