Not sure what to say?

He was a awesome science teacher he brought science to life by bringing all kinds of animals to class . He always believed in me because of him I went on and graduated high school went on to college. I'm sure he is having fun in heaven catching all the different animals

I knew Bill since I was kid in the 1980's. We had caves on the mountain by our house and my brothers and I would go with him to do bat counts, explore hibernacula sites, build cave gates, etc. He was a true friend of our family and had a genuine, gentle, and kind disposition that I have never seen in anyone else. He was like family to us and will be missed greatly.

He, in my book will continue to be quite a gentle man & top at the top of friends... My sawyer friend--- we sawed many board feet of cedar lumber ! May he rest in glory & peace,,,,,,,,,,,,, A teacher of nature & life .

My memories of Bill go back to the time he helped look for big-eared bats in the special crevice area of Devil’s Den State Park. He taught me to look for bat night roosts by looking for piles of insect parts on the cave floor. He also was responsible for leading me to a previously unknown hibernaculum of endangered Indiana bats in a cave that became known as Puckette’s Cave. Please accept my condolences.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
Bill was a good person, neighbor and friend, he was truly the salt of the earth, we sure will miss him.

I really enjoyed being in his class and he actually taught me some things

Puckette Family, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Bill impacted many lives and his legacy continues. Hold to the many memories as you move through the tough days ahead. In my prayers. Lark Gillen Hallum

Great childhood memories with my cuz! Catching frogs at the pond to jumping from the hayloft into the wagon of hay at Zoe were “talents” he taught me. You were a great educator even at the young age of 5! You will be missed, Bill.
