Not sure what to say?

It's hard to believe that it's been 7 years since you left us. Memories of your kindness and infectious laughter will live on forever. I miss you my friend.

Can't believe it's been four years. Bill and I became buddies after meeting through our kids attending the same school. We then found out we had many things in common, including working with art and imagery associated with the professional sports leagues, particularly Major League Baseball, golf, and other sports. I found that his art and its status within the collector's and licensing communities had become legendary, and after being in his studio numerous times in the few years prior to...

I only found out about Bill's passing yesterday while visiting Bill's former dentist in Mendham, NJ, Dr. Donald Callahan, who was a great fan of his. Those of us who "knew him when" are shocked and saddened at his untimely passing. He was an unforgettable, fun, talented and altogether nice person. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy along with that of all the Berner family from Lowery Lane. A bright light has gone out in the world.

The Berner family sends their thoughts and prayers to the Purdom family. It was years ago the we were great friends on Lowery Lane in Mendham NJ. Biz...we hold you close in our heart with wonderful memories of an amazing man.

Lisa, I just recently became aware of Bill's passing. I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was an AD at The New York Times when I met Bill, (sometime in the early 80's). From day one, it was a delight to know him. We collaborated on so many memorable projects, and shared countless unforgettable adventures. He will always be in my Mt. Rushmore of fabulous personalities and one-of-a-kind geniuses. Please accept my sincere, if belated, sorrow and condolences for your loss. Emil

At a loss for words, condolences to all your family friends and fans BILL. Seeing your work always brought a smile.

I first became aware of bill purdom about 20 yrs ago and started buying 12-14 paintings of his baseball art and finally got the nerve to call him on then phone twice in the last 5-6 yrs and we spoke for about 45 min each time. We were both born in 1953 and both lefties. Just a great guy and even tho we never met, I considered him a friend and i will miss him a lot.

I used to help Bill copy reference photos. He was an extremely talented man. I hadn't seen him in a while but when I noticed him at a local diner we had a great conversation about work and life. He will be missed.

Condolences to the Purdom family. Bill was always ready with a joke or a story with all listening winding up on the floor. Biz, you're one in a thousand.
