Billy & I worked together for 18 years and he managed to make every day a true experience. His humor and gift of gab will be missed by all who had the pleasure of being part of his world. My sincere condolences to Cathy & the entire Purdy family.

"Billy" and I met in kindergarten at Center School in Longmeadow, MA. and continued all through the school years together....Some of my memories were of groups of us enjoying playing at their home at 52 Chandler Avenue....Now those memories have been renewed as our son, wife and three children moved into the "Purdy" home this summer....I send my condolences to all the Purdy family......Karen Henschke Preston, Palm City, FL

For all that were dear to billy, he spent many years with myself and my children, we had many laughs and great times, it was a shock to hear of this news, he will always have a warm spot in my heart and in my daughters as well, Bill had a heart of gold and the gift of gab to make anyone feel great in the moment. I am sad to know he is gone from us and this earth for now, and hope to meet up with him again in another life, for some more great times. my condolences to Cathy, and the Purdy...

I first met Bill in 1979 when I was a new GM for Marshall Ind in Farmingdale NY and then onto Hauggauge. He was a Principal that we sold for and Bill and I had many conversations about business and people over the years. I do remember his K2 sking ring that he always wore. I will say a prayer for him. Good memories.

To all my condolences,
Billy was an extraordinary friend to me for over 30 years. He was my boss twice, and guided me through my own tough times. A lover of animals, (snakes excluded) ,all Boston based sports teams, and seemingly anything LL Bean manufactured.
He was an exceptional salesman who let the customer talk of his requirements. And he was a master at finding a new company for buyers and engineers, where it would optimize what he was selling. Billy...

Billy, as we knew him then, was often a ringleader of our group at Longmeadow Junior High, whether playing baseball, basketball, or just hanging around... and a dynamic personality!
Sincere condolences to the Purdy family. Bill Gilbert (Nova Scotia)
