I was very saddened to read of Bill's death. My fondest memories of Bill were when he came on Memorial Day to the services at Clinton Cemetery. I can still "see" him standing tall and straight in his military uniform.
He was a life-time member of Lions Club. On July 6 we were able to arrange with the staff at Brandon Woods for him to be brought to our annual installment dinner at the Smith Center at Brandon Woods. We were all so thrilled to see him. That was the last time that I saw him...

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. He was one of the sharpest, most interesting people who I have met. The United States is lucky to have had his leadership. His kind smile and enthusiasm for life will be missed.

My sincerest condolences to Bill's family. Bill was a brother Mason in our Lodge and his skills and leadership will be sorely missed in our midst. He was a friend and an example to all of us in his demeanor and conduct in all his affairs. God Bless.
