William Rance Obituary

William Rance died at the age Of 76 on October 8, 2004. He was born October 25, 1927, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana, to Regger Wesley and Clara Gleason Rance. He married Ruth V. Kemp Rance on April 17, 1953, in Edmond, OK. Bill was employed by Mayes-Bevan Company of Tulsa as a seismographer. He and Ruth moved twenty-three times throughout Oklahoma and Kansas during their first seven years of marriage. In 1961, they moved to Oklahoma City and began the Trading Stamp Exchange, which they operated until 1976. His other business ventures included Al's Book Store on 16th Street and a booth at AMC Flea Market. On April 29, 2001, Bill made a profession of faith and was baptized into the Trinity International Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, where he attended with his wife. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, and one nephew. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of the home; a daughter, Georgia Lynn and her husband, David. Other survivors include three brothers, Wesley and wife, Ann, of Louisiana; Edwin and wife, Laura, of Louisiana; and Morris Sam and wife, Jean, of Texas; brother-in-law Paul Kemp and his wife, June of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity International Baptist Church; 1329 N.W. 23rd; Oklahoma City, OK 73106. Visitation will be 4-7PM on Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11, 2004, at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity International Baptist Church at the above address. Services will be conducted by Pastor Jim Pittman. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery In Edmond, OK. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S. Broadway, Edmond
