The Reverend Canon was a lifelong friend to me, my brother and parents. We´d meet at the Digby Pines Hotel in Nova Scotia and as kids he not only introduced us to magic, he made life a bit magical. I can still hear his mother say "Billy"... and remember his father sitting in our kitchen. A piece of the moon from one of his astronaut friends is incorporated into the stained glass in his honor at the church. Always kind and gentle, he had a most uncommon mind and never avoided discussing...

Canon Rauscher married us in 1964. When we moved back to the area, he insisted that our sons be Acolytes, even though they are deaf. They called him Father Magic. We knew him to be kind and patient. Whenever we needed help, spiritual or secular, he was there. He was Christ Church. Well done good and faithful servant.
