Bill was a great friend and a mentor to me when I was really young on the road. He was one of the nicest guys you could ever know. We toured Japan together with Tanya Tucker in 1977 and grew very close being in such a far away land.

Bill was a boyhood friend of my husband, Stanley Trainer, who died in 1995. Bill came to the Baltimore area later that year and we had a nice visit.
