William Reliford

We mourn the loss of our devoted husband and friend, William T. Reliford on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012. He was born Nov. 10, 1924 in Detroit, Mich. to Hunt and Florida Stovall Reliford. William served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War for which we owe him our undying gratitude. He was always in the service of others and even after retiring continued to work hard for those that needed him. He received an award for his help in getting a bond passed to benefit the Las Cruces Public School system. His generosity, sacrifice, and wanting to help should be an example to us all. Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife of 52 years, Renate S. Reliford of the family home and stepdaughter, Sonja Neugebauer of Oberusel, Germany. A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas with full military honors accorded by a Fort Bliss Honor Guard. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Animal Service Center of the Mesilla Valley, 3551 Bataan Memorial West, Las Cruces, NM 88012.
