My heart went out to you when I heard of Ren's passing. As Sue said, there was a gasp of disbelief and sadness when his death was announced at church. My heart went out to you again when I read your update. We were in the Auckland Airport, NZ when we received the news of Bill's passing. We are so sorry we can't be with you to celebrate his life but we carry with us many fond memories of our years together. Know that we are with you and send our deepest sympathy.

I am so saddened to learn of Ren's passing. There was an audible reaction when this news was announced at UUCCSM.
He was a gentle, intelligent, interesting man and I am glad to have had a small chance to know him.

I have not spent any time with Ren, and so can't speak personally about him, but I do know how absolutely lit up Kathy was about her love for him and their life together. I am so very sorry for his sudden death, and I know that his spirit and approach to life will live on in his children and family and the many lives that he touched across the world.
