Not sure what to say?

Bill was a joy to be around. I grew up two houses away from his. I'm pretty sure my brother joined the Navy because of Bill's service in the Navy. I saw my first opera at the old Opera House in NYC. Bill had a piece of the original velvet curtain framed on his wall. I have often wondered what happened to that! He had the patience of a saint and spent many summer nights playing canasta into the wee hours of night. He cooked the most fabulous food and then he met and married Jean! I can...

Jean - I sent an email through this service Thursday evening and just today received word that it did not go through. I just wanted you to know that I have been praying for you. I am so saddened by Bill's death. He will always be one of my favorites. His love of good friends, good wine, and travel will remain with me forever. When I was little I was sure I'd marry him! Jean,

I am so sorry about Bill's death. Although we have not been in touch in recent years I hold the both of you in my heart with deep affection and fond memories spent South Mountain Labs, the Alpine Ski Club and as neighbors in South Orange. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

One of the events I looked forward to growing up was Bill's annual Christmas party! What a fiasco! Many summer nights were spent eating good food and playing cards with Bill and my mom. I was really surprised when I heard that Bill was getting married. I couldn't figure out who could steal his heart if it wasn't me! Jean stole our...
