William Rhea

William Rhea was a funny, outgoing person whose death has devastated his family, especially his older brother, who made it out of the house alive, their sister said.

"Everybody loved him. Everybody really misses him," Anna Lee Rhea said in a brief telephone interview from the family's home in Florence. "You couldn't help but love him."

She said William played basketball and baseball while at Trinity Collegiate High, a small private school in Darlington. A member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University of South Carolina, he enjoyed playing golf and was a huge Gamecock fan, she said.

She said William and their older brother, Andrew, were especially close. "His brother just can't get over it," she said.
