I served with SSgt Richardson in Iraq just a few months before his death. We shared stories, worked out, and joked around at Camp Al Asad. I really looked up to the man as a young corporal. And the things I've learned from him, I will always carry with me the rest of my life.

Today we remember and honor all the fallen men and women in the Armed Services. Especially Doug. We are all sadden by his death, but more so because of the pain Catherine has to endure. Our hearts and prayers go out to her and to Adeline today while remember the hero in their lives. God bless Doug for the sacrafice that he has made for our country. God bless Catherine for her sacrafice that she has to forever endure. We love you! God Bless this great country and all the service men and women...

I found your name on Google Earth, the Fallen Maps edition. Thank you to Sgt. William Richardson for giving his life to serve our country. He is gone but not forgotten.

I served with SSgt Richardson in Iraq. He taught me everything I needed to know about how to be a good Marine. I am glad to have found this site and meet people who knew this amazing Marine and leader.
