Bill was the most delightful spiritual adviser I even had! Bill also was a brilliant thinker and teacher, author and speaker -- mesmerizing. As a fellow Jesuit, he brought light and levity to an otherwise bleak Shrub Oak, and in subsequent years his wry integration of intelligence with social and religious context always refreshed. I will remember him fondly.
