RIP Bill a friend from chicago an lane tech h.s u a great athlete we played hoops at hamlun park with ira green many sat i pray for ur family

Bill was a great friend, roommate, and football teammate at Purdue. I remember one time when we were playing Wisconsin at our home field. Bill was lined up as a wide receiver and I was tight end. I actually finally caught a pass for approximately 24 yards but it was negated because Bill lined up incorrectly. I used to kid him about that as it was one of very few passes to a tight end back then. We laughed a lot about it. We won the game anyway. Bill was a great player.

I was very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. Even though we didn't talk for awhile, I consider Bill one of the greatest men I ever met and treasure my memories of him.

To Alicia and Family,
I just got the news.
I'm deeply saddened.
I went to Lane Tech, several of us ended up at Purdue, Bill, John Gus, Albin, Karlov, Hamera, and Bill.
We were Purdue roommates his 1st, 2nd, 3rd year.
Pabich and Wiley more Purdue teammates
we laughed with.
I have a jazz background, played football, from Chicago, so Bill and I became great friends. I could write volumes of the great laughs we had, the very tough times in school and...

I grew up looking up to Bill as a slightly younger boy living near Bill's home by Independence park in Chicago. I enjoyed many athletic activities participating with Bill at the park. He was always a gentleman

I just learned of Bill's passing in the Purdue Alumnus Publication. We roomed together for a senior semester at Purdue and were football teammates at the same time. Attended his wedding in Chicago with several other teammates. Bill turned me on to jazz and we had lots of laughs together with our fellow Boilermakers. We lost contact after graduation but I always treasured knowing him.

Alicia, pls accept my condolences. Just found out that Bill is gone, I've always held him up as an ideal personally and professionally. Sending our love from Russia.

Mr. Bill Roach was the man who got me into sales. I will always remember his leadership and direction. Elisabeth
