Not sure what to say?

Mr. Bill as we all know him as at OHCC was one of the nicest people anyone would want to know. Mr. Bill would come in swim his laps and go down to one of our rooms to eat his lunch. He always love to share his lunch. He was really a joy to be around. We were missing him already when he stopped coming to the pool and I would call to check on him. One of his sayings was to me "today is a gift" and he would wait for me to say "thats why they call it the present. He will be truly missed and...

I've known and been the neighbor of Bill and Jac Robertson for 36 years in the Old Wythe neighborhood. My fondest memories of Bill are of his kindness toward and interest in my three children as they grew up in Old Wythe. Not only did he and Jac open their beautiful big yard to them for playing in, but he took the time to talk with them, asking what their interests were and how they were doing in school, etc. He truly was a blessing to all of us in the neighborhood and will be missed!

We were born on the same day - 36 years apart. I knew him only briefly, having met in his 96th year, and I'm all the poorer for it. Another of the Greatest Generation leaves us and we are all the poorer for it. I wish you fair winds and following seas.

A BLESSING FOR BILL

May your days and nights be filled with peace,
And may those you love be near.
May the solace of that closeness
Banish any hint of fear.

May the joy you've brought to others
Fill your soul now with that light,
And the memories of happy times
Fill your dreams through darkest night.

For you've lent your strength to many.
You've upheld us in our strife.
Now let those of us who love you
Let you know...

You and Jac were the most loving couple. Pictures taken Octobrer, 2009

Bill you will be truly missed. Always loved seeing you on our trips to Virginia.

Mr. Roberson was such a wonderful man. He was always talking to my children and all the other children in the neighborhood. Playing games with them and letting them play in his yard, especially those snowy days when he got out the sleds for them. He and Jac were such wonderful neighbors. We truely missed them when we moved. Bill will be sadly missed. Our love to the family. Renee Olsovsky

Jac and family,
Please accept our most sincere sympathy and deepest condolences. I enjoyed many wonderful days at TAC Personal Services with Bill and occasionally on the golf course. He was a wonderful person.

Knowing Bill has forever changed my life,he was the most loving and gentle soul..I am forever blessed being able to have spent time with him.
I know he is soaring with the angels. He will always be in my heart.
