Single Memorial Tree

My late husband and I met Bill and Ginny when our sons became best friends in nursery school. We had wonderful times as families, from playing basketball in a no-longer-existing gym at Smith College, to an ill-fated camping trip to Cape Cod where we were rained on nonstop. Bill was quirky, fun, always a stimulating conversationalist in his wide ranging interests, and a fascinating artist. He had a particular place in this world that cannot be filled by anyone or anything else. May he rest in...

So sorry to hear of Bill's death. I'll never forget the time he came to the opening of a group show I had work in, at Forbes Library, and talked with me about my (quite amateur) work. Dick has known him even longer and remembers him fondly as a really nice guy. We know you'll miss him greatly and will keep you in our thoughts.

Sadly I only knew him through my dear friend, Freda. I´m glad they found each other briefly. The obituary helps me know him. Thank you.

Bill was one of the first people we met when we moved to Williamsburg in 1988 - I met him as a fellow VA employee and he kindly invited us to his beautiful home. We were not close but ran into each other frequently in town until we moved to the West Coast. I recall his insect drawing collection shown at the Meekins Library. Lovely guy who I've thought of frequently since moving away. Rest in Peace Bill. Your friendliness and driving need to be creative will be missed.

Our deepest condolences to the family on the passing of a lovely gentleman. Always enjoyed his paintings of local scenes.

As a Williamsburg neighbor and fellow participant with Bill in our weekly philosophy discussion group, I will greatly miss Bill, truly a man for all seasons!
