William Roniger Obituary

RONIGER William P. Roniger, II lost his brief battle with cancer on September 28, 2010. Beloved husband of Peggy E. Roniger. Loving father of Jamie R. Melan (John), and Stephanie M. Roniger. Grandfather of Rowan J. Melan. Brother of Joan Schlosser (Anthony), Richard Roniger (Mary Lu) and the late Patricia Matza. Brother in law of Joseph Matza. Preceded in death by his parents Margaret D. Roniger and William P. Roniger and his aunt, Mildred "Millie" Dennis. He graduated from Holy Cross in 1969 and served in the LA Air National Guard, 159th Coonass Militia for 30 years. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the American Cancer Society, 2605 River Rd., New Orleans, LA 70121, are appreciated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., at 1:00 pm, Visitation from 11:00 am until service time.
