Not sure what to say?

A good man.

I remember him as a good man.

Father Rutledge it was a pleasure serving mass with you for 5 years back in the 60s and 70s, such an awesome priest you are and were. Thank you for all that you taught me, and for the trip to Washington DC that you took us on as students in 6th grade at St Brendans!!! You are in gods hands now, god bless you and your family!!!!!

He was the only priest that would give my mom a Catholic funeral back in the day because she had a hysterectomy..RWG...

Hope he knew the awesome influence he had on those of us associated with him at Annunciation. I was in grade school then..... and I still feel a special connection to him. That says it all and it what he was there to do! See you when I get there.....

Father Rutledge I was an altar boy for 5 years at St Brendans back in the late 60's early 70's,awesome memories of my favorite catholic priest, a good honest, dedicated person

Father was exactly was a priest should be and so much more. He was a wonderful, caring and intelligent man who taught through his actions and scripture. Thank you, Father Bill for your strong faith and friendship.

Fr. Rutledge was a caring man -Father made visits and talked with my Dad on his death bed. My Dad looked forward to the chats and we appreciated his kindness. Rest in Peace, Father Bill. Rattay Family from St. Aloysius Parish

I remember Father Bill from both St. Henry's and Annunciation parishes. He was truly and inspiration and an exceptional role model. He had such a generous heart and loved working with the youth of the parishes. I especially remember working on the farm with him. we would raise produce and then sell in in the neighborhood and with the proceeds he would take us on trips-I remember the trip to the World Fair in New York and to Sea Isle City New Jersey! He was a inspiration to all, a true role...
