To Bill, Helen and the entire family, please accept my sincere condolences. Gene was always so kind to me, and I will miss him. Conversations with him were both joyful and thought-provoking, and I greatly appreciated his wisdom. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones.

Gene was a true friend and a gentleman. A man that loved his family deeply, especially his late wife, Sherry and his daughters and sons. I was very fortunate to call him friend. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. I will miss his wit, his distinctive take on all things political and his wonderful recollections of times past. He was my friend and I will miss him.
