Not sure what to say?

Dear Ruthie, It is hard to believe 4 years have passed since Bill's untimely death. I am sure you still miss him terribly but I hope you are well. I would love to hear from you. As the big 80 gets closer, I wonder where the time has gone. Are your daughters and their families close by? Meredith and family, the reason we moved to Philly 13 years ago, moved to NY in July for Mark to take a great job at Weill Cornell in the city....Nonetheless we love Philly and, for now, will stay. ...

Dear Ruthie,

It is with great sadness that I learned of Bill's passing. I was charmed by his delighted rediscovery of the love you shared and hope you will be comforted by the many happy memories of your time together. I just wish there had been more. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Barbara

Diane, Randall and Avery:
So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. My dad was so fond of him. I have such great memories of times with him and Diane as young vibrant students at the Foreign Service Institute.
My thoughts are with you all, I know he will be missed.
