Dear Charlotte and Family,
I learned of your loss through Tess. I remember the last time we saw William at the last family gathering. My mother, Edwinetta (Netta) was so happy to see him. As time moves on, you will find the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and fill the emptiness you now have. My love and prayers are with you and the family.
With much love,
Liz Russell (cousin and known as Betty Ellen to family)

Dear Charlotte and Family:
We feel very fortunate to have known Bill for the few years in his lifetime that we crossed paths. I think our best time was a visit to the Shawsville farm for a charity event where Bill invited Jim for a ride in the truck to tour the property. The two of them had a fabulous time! To me coming from the northeast, Bill was the shining example of a "Southern gentleman"! You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
With much love,

Dear Charlotte snd Family,
I know the loss of William Gresham, as Aunt Lelia called him, is at first devastating and as time goes on will seem to be a void that cannot be filled. However, hold him close in your heart and your memories let no one forget the fine Virginia Gentleman who brought you and his children so much love and joy. Then although his hand will no longer be there to hold yours his love and caring way will always be the warm light that keeps Bill with you.

Miss Charlotte and family. Your friendship has truly been a treasure and we all will greatly miss that grand stature of a man that was Bill Sandy. What gracious hosts you have been at your home and "down on the farm". My love and heartfelt condolences to you all.

To Charlotte and Family. I worked with Bill for ten years from 1959 to 1969 and we traveled around together often in our selling endeavours. We socialized at our homes, at parties and playing poker. He was one of my favorite people. I'm sure he remained a really great guy and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.
