Not sure what to say?

Can't believe you have been gone 14 years now. I thoroughly enjoyed working for you from 1974-1977, upon my HS graduation! You were always that "ONE OF A KIND", guy, (OOAK, in my Barbie world). You were loved a lot, & I will never forget you Bill!!!

I am so sad to hear of Bill's passing. I was Bill's very first Receptionist while starting my legal career in 1974 w/Hawkins, Germundson, Scalf & Young (Osis & Skofstad followed in firm)off Burnside & Linden Ave in Gresham, where Eric Young continues his practice. Even though I was an innocent 17 yrs old, I respected Bill for many of his odd & fun personality traits. He was patient, funny, always w/a mischieveous smile when telling a joke. I had the privilege of making a personal visit to...

Our thoughts are with the Scalf family. Bill, Carol and Mac would always walk by our home when walking on the Gresham Golf Course. He always had a kind word to say about the day. He always nad a kind word to say to Libby our Lab-Golden Retriever. She always knew when Bill was at the fence! Oh how she will miss him as we will. Hopefully Carol, kids and grandkids will keep up the walking tradition!! The Ashby's, Ron, Marilyn, Brooke and Libby

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time, Carol. Feel the embrace.

I was a young prosecutor in Clackamas County 1978-1984. I tried many cases with Bill and found him always prepared, straightforward and refreshingly pleasant to deal with. He represented his clients with devotion and professionalism and a good deal of wit. If all attorneys were as pleasant as him, it would be a better world. I know he's in a better one now.

What a shock to hear of Bill's passing. He was truly a great friend, and I knew him from the time Tod & my son David were in junior bowling. I worked with him and became very good friends. He will truly be missed. My heart goes out to you, Carol.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

One great thing about Bill, he could always make you laugh! I really appreciate all the things Bill has done for me over the years. He will be missed. Carol, I'm thinking of you during this difficult time. I wish I wasn't so far away so I could attend his service.

Bill was a real credit to his profession, and will be missed. I knew Bill through years of clerking at the Multnomah County Courthouse, and he was always thoroughly prepared, tried his cases well without over-trying them, and in all circumstances was a gentleman. May God bring you relief during this difficult transition. Respectfully, Susie Shepherd
