Not sure what to say?

Bill Schade, such a talented, funny, wonderful friend and professor. It was my pleasure to meet Bill as my professor and to travel with him five times through Europe. My life was enriched with laughter, knowledge, and experiences I never dreamed that I would have in my life.
Tom, Dick and I send our thoughts and prayers.

I was a student of Bills and I had the great pleasure of learning from him and laughing with him. I still retell a few jokes he told me on a very long flight to Greece in '98. I feel privileged to have been instructed by such talent.
My thoughts are with you Tom and all who had the opportunity to know Bill.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I have fond memories of him at Sage College of Albany. He was well-liked by students and his colleagues.

With heartfelt condolences, Karen Schell

Bill and I began our careers at JCA at the same time and were colleagues and friends for over 30 years. I appreciated his sense of humor and learned a great deal from him as a teacher and an artist. I enjoyed all of the pets he kept in his office and the printmaking studio. I treasure an artist's book I have from one of his shows. He made a great contribution to the Department of Visual Arts at Sage College of Albany. Tom, my thoughts are with you during this very sad time. Bill's life...

We were students of Bill's in Albany. Like all of our classmates, we loved him, his classes, his stories and his art.

For years after that I'd see Bill around town, as both of us often walked to neighborhood stores, or strolled for enjoyment.

We're sorry for your loss, yet happy for you to have shared a life with one of the most alive people we've ever known.

I was saddened to hear that Bill has passed away. He was magnificently imaginative and creative; a true artist with a humorous and exuberant spirit. I have so many fond memories of times together with him and Dick. I send my heartfelt condolences to you, Tom. Carolyn Callner

From the moment I first met Bill in Grad school at UAlbany we were friends. He was a multi-talented artist and as well as a truly gifted and caring teacher. I included Bill's work in a number of exhibitions I curated but none was so well received as the exhibition "The Wild Wonderful ,World of William B. Schade seen in the Univesity Art Museum. It was a celebration of Bill's drawings, prints, paintings, sculpture,
and who could forget the installation of Noha's (sic) Ark. Bill 's life was...

Bill was a truly remarkable artist, friend and colleague. I learned so much from him, not least of which the need to laugh at the craziness around us. Although I hadn't seen him in several years, I can still see his impish grin and twinkling eye. Thank you, Bill, you are not forgotten and never will be. Tom, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Billy will always be remember for his sense of humor and his art work.

He always loved a party and had many at his home. Billy always a good joke to share.

To Tom and Aunt Ruth and all family members, our prayers are with you all. Billy will be missed by many.
