Not sure what to say?

My memories of Bill (Billy) go back to childhood and Zion Lutheran school. Bill was friends with my brother Lee and I was friends with Bills sister Sharen. Bill is in a much better place now and find comfort in knowing you will see him soon.

I can hear Bill's cheerful greeting echo in my mind as I read all these wonderful sentiments. I worked with Bill at BSU. I really can't say much that hasn't already been said. The way Bill led his life is an example to us all that we have the power to influence other people through our every day behavior. Bill always brought light and warmth wherever he went. He will be missed and I'll always remember with much fondness. Warm wishes,

Uncle Bill, You were a wonderfull man and we are all going to miss you dearly. You always had a smile on you face and could always make someone else smile no matter the mood they were in. I am so Thankful you were brought into my Aunts life and you made a world of difference in all of our lives.

My warmest thoughts and condolences to Bill's family. For a time, I got to see Bill every day as he came to deliver packages to the College of Engineering. I enjoyed my association with him. He frequently expressed his worry and concerns for his wife as she battled cancer. I was sorry to hear of Bill's illness and sincerely hoped that he would be so fortunate as to make a full recovery. I am saddened to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Bill's wife and family.

All the folks in Department of Geosciences, Boise State University, will miss Bill Schaefer very much. Bill was great guy who really embraced people and life on a daily basis. He was a smart, funny and compassionate person.

Please accept our deepest condolences and best wishes. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bill was a great guy to watch an empty parking lot with at Boise State University. We always had a great time swapping stories and just
talking about life. Time always flew by with Bill. He was always
attentive and compasionate about his life and his work. Bill always
spoke of his wife/family with great passion, love, and respect. He will be missed dearly from all of us that were lucky enough to really get to know him. My daughter and I give to you and your family our deepest...

It's amazing that we learn so much about someone after they are gone. I didn't know much about Bill's personal life, but I had the pleasure of working with him at events at Boise State. He was always happy to see you. Always was handing something out for free. He was always getting his hands on a surplus of tootsie rolls, or jolly ranchers...something to hand out to everyone he ran into on campus. He had an awesome work ethic, put a smile on those he was around.
