Not sure what to say?

I’ve known Mr. Bill Schaum since 2003. We met in Taco Bell on Belair Road. He liked my T-shirt and we starting talking. We kept in contact via email. He knew I took care of my parents. He came to pay his respects when my father passes away in 2005 and my mother in 2006. He was very kind man. I didn’t know his wife Helen Marie but I paid my respect to him and her when she passes away in December 2007. Rest in Peace. May God bless and keep you always.

In Our Hearts and Prayers: Soar to great heights dear William, as did "the Saints of Old"; as you did when with us on earth in your service to the Navy; to the Baltimore City Police Department; as Chief of the Towing Division of Baltimore City; and, in retirement with your projects, paintings, and friendships.

It was our privilege to have met you and so warmly to have received your friendship, William, and we indeed thank God for this wonderful blessing. We shall truly miss...

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Mr. Schaum, you were as a father to me. I sit here with tears in my eyes; knowing now; that you are gone. Leaving this earth has left many people on this earth heavy hearted. You were a person not many can be. You were a helping hand to so many. You were someone so many people looked up to and wished they could be. You were a true friend to all that knew and loved you. You were a great leader and asset to the City of Baltimore! I know you are in GOD's heaven and all souls that will...

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. You were truly a wonderful man! Your body may have aged and broke but your mind was sharp. You always shared a story, memory or history with everything we spoke of. I will never forget all the stories you shared and taught me. I will miss you so much!

my thought and prayers are with the schaum family at this time.

Bill was an extraordinary man, full of great stories, laughter and fun. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Most importantly, he'd want everyone to enjoy life and look forward to the next adventure. Our prayers are with those he held dear.

Great Uncle always had a way of making people smile! When I was away at college, we would talk on Instant Messenger and send e-mails back and forth, and he would call me to talk about college and life in general. When I was little, my grandfather, Charles A. Schaum, took me over to his house, where he gave me a clown with bright yellow hair and bright clothes. That clown is hanging in my room and always makes me think of him and smile. Great Uncle Bill will forever be in my heart.

With deepest sympathy to the entire family. I started working with Mr. Schaum on September 29, 1981 as a Tow Truck Operator. He was the Superintendant of the Towing Section and prior to retirement he had became the Chief of the Division. He was a true friend as well as superior. Mr. Schaum always gave me good advice and was a great leader. There was never a dull moment with Mr. Schaum. He always kept everyone full of laughter even after he retired. He stayed in touch daily with emails. ...
