William Schlak

It has been just a year since Bill, my brother, took off on his final flight, but a lot has happened in that year. Last September 19 my wife Carolyn, his favorite sister-in-law, and the person who introduced him to his wife-to-be Connie, also headed to heaven after a brief battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Then to everyone´s surprise, his wife Connie headed to heaven on December 17 after a very brief illness. 2022 was a devastating year for the Schlak family. I miss my wonderful wife of 58...

Connie so sorry. You know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love to family.

His children are a testament to him (and Connie, of course!). Rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Bill when he was an FAA Safety Team Representative. This photo is of Bill conducting a spatial disorientation exercise for pilots at Carlisle Airport in June, 2017. Bill was one of smartest persons I've known - and a wonderful human being.
