Not sure what to say?

I was privileged to meet Bill just weeks after beginning my legal career in 1973. He soon became a good friend, mentor, and a lot of fun over many shared meals. He always had reliable counsel, and an even temperament. We have lost a valuable asset in the law community, and his family and friends are at least fortunate to have had good times and memories from his life.

I was lucky to receive a special gift from Mr. William Schulte´s son: old slides from his visit to China in 1980´s, including Beijing where I came from and Guilin where my parents were from and where I spent a lot of childhood time. Pity I didn´t have a chance to meet him and talk with him. I can feel his love of other cultures as said in the obituary. He will live in my imagination and my memory!

Bill was one of the nicest men I have ever met. Besides having domestic relations cases with him and using him as a mediator, I enjoyed playing golf with him both in Portland as well as Palm Springs. Always he was the consummate gentleman and a joy to be with. He will truly be missed by anyone who knew him.

Our sincere condolences to you and Family Laurie. Bill will be greatly missed .!! We always enjoyed his upbeat personality and he and I had many enjoyable conversations over the years. We were sincerly SORRY to hear of Bills passing!

Bill was the consummate family law attorney and mediator. He was a great teacher and always took time to answer questions. His skills as a Mediator in Family Law served as an example as to how Mediations should take place. I learned alot from Bill. One time when I was mad at another attorney for what I considered was an ethical violation and a bar complaint, I talked to Bill and he advised calm and he suggested a call to the attorney, which I did and calmness ensued. By using Bill as a...

Bill and I had many divorce cases as lawyers representing opposite sides. We never had to go to trial. Both of us believed we could do a more thorough job for our clients than a judge who just listened for a few hours. That approach may be dying out. Many will miss Bill.

Bill was one of the first Oregonians I met and befriended when I came to take the Oregon bar exam in 1966, He was a bright light as a friend. I was blessed to have Bill AS A FRIEND AND CONFIDANT. Kevin O'Connell

Thoughts of Bill Schulte evoke superlatives and quite properly so, and his memory will always reside with me as a wonderful friend and how much fun we had in law school and around that time. He was easy to enjoy, and I´m sure all of our class thought of him as a friend. We were drawn to his wit and candor. Bill and I had a particularly good time, and he took me to his folks´ home a couple of times, where I was treated to his mom´s cooking and the hospitality of his dad, who took me out to...

Jerry Curtis writing, his bicycle buddy from the STP. I have a bicycle jacket from the 1989 ride I could loan you for the memorial? And, I would much like to come to the celebration of my friends life!
