As a player of his, I often butted heads with Coach Selent. Now, as a teacher and coach myself for the past 30 years, I try to be just like him. Thanks for all the lessons Coach. You were a true role model.

Mr. Selent always was such a gentleman and a steady example to his students, myself included. We're lucky to have been at OPHS when he was there. Condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace.

Dear Selent family, I wanted to extend my sympathies and prayers. Like many OPHS students, I benefitted from Mr. Selent's warm and positive personality and example.
