Not sure what to say?

Has it been ten years or 10 weeks? Such is the nature of grief, I find... But thankfully, love never, ever dies.

The news of Bill's passing just reached me. He was a shining star in our college days together. I admired him greatly. I'm not surprised by his lifetime of achievement and his success with his family. His loss will touch many people.

News of Bill's death came to me in Africa and it saddened my heart to learn of his death. I remember him as a man of faith, always with a smile, and a gentle soul. He will be missed. Greg Jeane, Birmingham, AL

Bill was a great guy back in high school days and one of many I wish I had the privilege of personally associating with through this life. So sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Shanks, Will, and Amanda - My condolences for your loss. You are in my thoughts at this difficult time.

Bill was blessed by God with a gentle, humble, loving spirit. I never saw or heard him do or say an unkindness. It was wonderful to see Bill at our '08 high school reunion in Jackson, and I hope to see him again, with all his loved ones, in the presence of God.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bill has been our (Jenkins Brick Co.) ERISA attorney for the last 12 years and he has helped me on every issue imaginable over the course of those twelve years most recently trying to terminate the plan. I cannot imagine completing this task without him. He is such a wonderful man to work with and I will miss him tremendously. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bill and I were good friends during our grade school and junior high years. Unfortunately, we lost touch after the split between Callaway and Murrah High Schools. However, I had recently reconnected with him as a friend on Facebook. I have great memories of our years living in Briarwood subdivision, playing sports and trading baseball cards. My sincere condolences to his family.

Bill was truly one of the "Good Guys". You could always count on Bill for a friendly word and a big smile. I pray that God's grace will touch the hearts of all of Bill,s family and friends.
