William "Bill" Shelley

William (Bill) Ralph Shelley, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017, surrounded by his children, at the Taylor House.

Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m., on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Merle Hay Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m.

Bill was born to Iver (Jiggs) and Dorothy Shelley, on February 18, 1943. He served in the United States Air Force as a B29 Bomber Mechanic from 1961-1965, based out of Lincoln, Nebraska. Bill married Jaquelyn Smith on August 16, 1965.

Bill loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all.

Bill is survived by his son Jimmy (Laura) Shelley, daughter Judi (James) Brown, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Nancy, and brother John.

He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.
