William Robert “Bill” Sims, 86, husband of Sara Woodard Sims, died Monday, October 28, 2019 in Mercer Co.  Born December 15, 1932 in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Harry and Carrie Tarter Sims. He was a retired Sight Utilities Contractor for Mullis Incorporated.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, of the Methodist Faith and was a member of the V.F.W.


Additional survivors including his wife are three sons:  Robert K. Sims, Thomas G. (Kathy) Sims and Harry D. (Michelle) Sims all of Harrodsburg; one daughter:  Stephanie L. (Belve) Collier of Harrodsburg; one brother:  Joe Sims of Danville; two sisters:  Barbara Honaker and Betty Chambers, both of Danville; six grandchildren:  Matt Sims, Curt Duff, Cole Sims, Ty Sims, Tristan Sims, Stevie Nicole McWorter and four great-grandchildren:  Nate Sims, Landon Sims, Cooper Sims, and Agustus “Gus” Sims.  He was preceded in death by one son:  Walter C. Sims; and three brothers:  Walter Sims, Harry Sims and Tommy Sims. 


Memorial services will be 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Southside Christian Church, 1590 Danville Road, Harrodsburg with Seth Widner and Kenny Speaks officiating. 


Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at the church.

We were sorry to hear about the passing of bill. If it wasnt for bill we wouldnt have our lake house he made it come together. I will miss his sense of humor, he will be missed. Sarah you have always been great neighbors. The northcutt family.
