William Jeffrey Singleton

I just learned of Jeffrey´s passing. He was executive officer of Delta Battery, 2d Battalion, 56th Artillery in Germany. The unit was a Nike Hercules, air defense missile unit. I joined the unit as a 2d Lieutenant in the spring of 1967. We became fast friends and rented a house together. Around Christmas 1967, I was taking a shower when a Christmas from my parents. Fond memories of 1965 at Fort Sill. Often thoughts of that summer - especially navigating cross-country at night from one unknown location to another known point on the map. We had to find our location by observing the terrain to locate our starting point. Jeff had the compass and kept us on track.

Jeff was a wonderful mentor to his family and friends! He was a bright star in life & now has returned to his Heavenly Father! RIP Jeff, your vibrant memory lives on within your family and friends Amen
