Not sure what to say?

We really miss Dr. Smedley, and honestly, truth be told, he saved my life. I was one of his patients. Early in 1998, at the age of 36, I developed health issues and digestive problems, that no MD or specialist could diagnose. I lost 35 lbs. and got weak, couldn't sleep, had pain migrating all over my body, limbs, headaches. I went to see at least 10 different MD's including a day trip to University of Pa. in Philadelphia. None could nail it down. I suffered with it for 8 months, my health...

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Smedley Family. Dr. Smedley was an Angel. He performed my gallbladder surgery in 2002. I was so scared and he was very caring and compassionate. I remember if I called the office after hours, Doc Smedley or his wife would answer the phone. He didn't have an answering service, the calls went directly to his home. He was amazing and will definitely be missed by many.

To Mrs Smedley and Family,
I wish to send my condolences for the loss of Dr Smedley. My mother and I were patients of the doctor in the 1970s. He was a compassionate understanding man with special gifts. He made what was a difficult time much easier. He will be missed. My husband and I send our sympathy to the family.

We moved to Baltimore 16 months ago and just learned of Bill's death. He was a free-thinking surgeon, beloved by his patients. Please accept our condolences.

Dear Catherine and family,
I was saddened to read of the death of your beloved husband and father. Bill was an very important part of my life while I was stationed at St. Ignatius. I have fond memories of our many conversations, especially when we both served on the diocesan ethics committee. I came to admire his great concern for his patients, their spiritual welfare as well as their physical well-being. He was a truly wonderful and inspiring model of care and compassion to all...

Bill, Sandy, and Smedley family,
My sincere sympathies on your loss. I remember Doctor Smedley as a caring, kind, and compassionate man. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Bill
I will always remember the Smedley name from our years at Bishop O'Reilly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your father had a life of so much good. What a legacy. May God Bless you all.

To Mrs. Smedley, Bill Jr. (my O'Reilly classmate and dear friend) and all the Smedley kids;
We have not only lost an excellent surgeon, but a most kind and gentle man who's smile touched everyone in our family. "Doc Smed" was a deeply caring person, who healed my mom many years ago from her gall bladder pains.
We will certainly miss you Doc..... and to your wonderful family we send our deepest sympathy. The road ahead will be rough, but know that your dad is watching over you.
