Dear Chris,

I was deeply sorry for your loss.
I didn't know your father that well,
but what i do remember ,was that
he always had a beautiful smile on
his face, whenever i saw him. He
was always so pleasant whenever we
did have an exchange of words.

My thoughts and prayers, go out to
you and your family.

A wonderful man has been taken from us. Truely he will be missed by many, and will forever have a place in the hearts and minds of those who loved and appreciated him.

Always in prayer,

Reverend Anthony J. Motley.

During the more than 10 years that I played with the Tremont Hotel Sr. Softball Team in the 70's, 75's and 80's teams, I enjoyed them more than all of the 10 years in my professional baseball career. It gave me an opportunity to make many associations and friends and I will be forever grateful for Bill Smith's generosity in inviting me to participate. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family at this time. He will be sorely missed my everyone who knew him - a true gentleman. Lou...

To The Family of William C. Smith Sr.,

My prayers go out to all of you. You have my deepest sympathy.

When I lived at the Lenmore Apartments(70's) in Lincoln Park(Rockville,MD) I would call Mr. Smith and speak with him personally about fixing up my apartment. He was the nicest person. He let me get wallpaper(I would purchase it) to redo my kitchen and he would deduct it from my rent. He was very trusting. GOD Bless Him. Good Folk like him are very rare these days. My prayers go out to his family.

Dearest Tracey, You have my deepest sympathy at the passing of your Father. Koreen has always had good words to say of him and your Mother. We will be missed but you have all the good memories, as We have have my Dad. They will live with you forever. Give my sympathies to the rest of your family. Ramona Fleck

The Washington community and the region have lost a tremendous leader and teacher... you will be missed Mr. Smith, but your wonderful legacy to our great City, the William C. Smith Co. remains as a testament to your vision and commitment to our beloved Washington.

I met Mr. Smith several times over the past 8 years and he was always full of laughter and had a smile on his face when he greeted you. My prayers and condolences go out to the entire Smith family.
