William Frank Smith

I worked at Albertson's by Bill's home for many years and we became friends, he always made me laugh when he would come, after I retired my husband and I moved to Alaska Bill and still kept in touch with a phone call a couple times a year and cards. He was just such a special young man with a great humor. He will be missed by many.

i moved to davis in 2002 & lived on Lehigh, which is right behind bill's haus. through some very 1st davis friends of mine, i met a fella who lived in san francisco named Stoo Odom. he had also lived in davis, played with Thin White Rope, and knew many local characters- bill smith being one of them.

I knew Bill through his mother and dad. I was devastated when his accident occured. I really admire him and all that he did. What a guy.

Honestly, I never knew Smitty's real name was William, and I certainly had no idea he even had a middle name. To me he was always just Smitty, one of my first great mates. See you on the other side, Smitty!
